Capitol Boat Club Launches Boat Rentals on Lake Mendota
MADISON, WI (June 1, 2021) – Capitol Boat Club, Madison’s alternative to boat ownership, has launched the addition of rental boats. The brand new rental fleet includes three deck and pontoon boats, offering a new way for Madison residents and tourists to get out on the water this summer.
“Amid the past year of canceled plans and staying at home, boating has been one of the best options for safe, outdoor activity for many families,” says Justin Sisley, owner of Capitol Boat Club. “We saw a boom in membership and boat usage during the 2020 season, which played a big part in our decision to add rental boats this year.”
“After 4 years as a members-only boat club, we’re excited to finally offer rentals and chartered captains to anyone in Madison – no membership required. Now that weddings, bachelor(ette) parties, and tourism are picking up again in Wisconsin, we expect a very busy summer.”

Boats available on Lake Mendota – (1) 19’ Deck Boat and (2) 22’ Luxury Pontoons
All boats are equipped with a bimini top for shade, deck mounted ski/tube tow bar, premium Bluetooth stereo, and enough power for towables
Available upgrades: add a tube, lily pad or captain
