Not sure if a membership is right for you? Or maybe you’re just in town for the weekend or don’t use a boat enough to justify a membership. Then have one of our seasoned captains take you out for a day on Lake Mendota in one of our new Harris pontoon boats. All journeys start and end at the public docks of your choosing (most commonly the Terrace).
You and 9 of your friends can spend an afternoon cruising, swimming, and relaxing without worrying about needing someone experienced to drive the boat (or someone sober - remember, drunk driving laws are the same on the water as they are in a car).
Though we’ll provide the captain, you decide where you want to go for your outing. Not sure what to do? Here’s some common outings we’ve seen:
Start out with a slow (or fast) cruise around the lake while everyone has some snacks and a beverage or two. Then, anchor the boat in Three Foot Bay (aptly named, because you can stand about waist to chest deep on a sandy bottom). Enjoy some time throwing a frisbee, football, or ping pong balls into cups on a floating inflatable table.
Take a leisurely cruise across the lake to Nau-Ti-Gal. Stop and grab a burger or some cheese curds and head back to the boat. Cruise around Maple Bluff and take in the beautiful landscape. Spend the rest of your time swimming or relaxing on the boat. Pro Tip: Do this one in the evening to enjoy a fantastic sunset cruise on your way back
Everyone has networking events at bars. Why not throw a more intimate event on the water? Have your association, fraternity, sorority, new co-workers, or anyone else you want to get to know better join you for a unique opportunity to chat and imbibe on a boat.
The Land n’ Sea Bar Crawl. Whether it’s a weekend afternoon or a weekday happy hour, Madison offers several destinations that can be reached by boat. Start out at the Terrace and grab a burger and a beer before boarding the boat. We’ll take you up to Mariner’s Inn & Nau Ti Gal or over to Captain Bill’s for stop number two. From there, we’ll head over to the Edgewater’s Boat House for stop three, and finally drop you off back at the Terrace.

If you’re used to run down old fleet rental boats, you’ll be pleasantly surprised for your outing. Our charter boat is a new 20’ Harris pontoon boat, holding 10 passengers plus the captain.
You’ll be riding in style with a great sound system with bluetooth & usb connectivity, a Bimini top for shade, built in coolers (don’t forget your ice!), and plenty of cupholders (seriously, SO MANY cupholders).
